The infographic below tells a story about how to curb inefficiency through:
- Prioritizing Optimization
- Using Data-Driven Approaches
- Adding Video
- Optimizing for Mobile
- Optimizing Social Media
While there is certainly some information here on the importance of user research, I’m disappointed that the main goal here was to talk about optimization, graphics, and content and not usability. When will user-centered design be seen as a solution? Like I noted yesterday, this entire infographic focuses only on driving traffic, but doesn’t focus nearly enough on what to do once the users are at the site nor what to do with them when they want to leave.
I suppose this is a step in the right direction, but I’m disappointed.
What do you think?
